Dr. Moyee Siu passed away in 2024. Her spirit lives on in the continuing transmission of Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture.
Dr. Moyee Siu was a co-founder of Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture (ZSA) and Professor Ming Qing Zhu’s most senior student. She worked alongside Professor Zhu for nearly three decades, teaching Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture seminars with him around the world, helping him refine the Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture medical system, and publishing the Color Atlas of Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture and Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture Medical Practice Series – Basic.
Dr. Siu was the former chairman of Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture Research and Education Foundation (U.S.A.) and co-founded Zhu’s Neuro-Acupuncture and Rehabilitation Center in San Jose, California, with Professor Zhu. On 4 October 2014, Professor Zhu presented her with Certificates of Appreciation and named her his successor for the full scope of Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture teachings, research and development.
Dr. Ru Shan Shy and Dr. Sheng Chun Chang worked with Dr. Siu for many years on ZSA’s clinical, teaching and educational activities. During Professor Zhu’s 2014 retirement commemoration in the United States, a five-person photograph was taken of Teacher Li Ding, Professor Ming Qing Zhu, Dr. Moyee Siu, Dr. Ru Shan Shy and Dr. Sheng Chun Chang.
Throughout her life, Dr. Siu embodied selfless compassion, humility and dedication. Never seeking recognition for herself, she quietly supported Professor Zhu and the growth of Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture, devoting her energy to teaching, writing and passing on the tradition — and warmly touching the many colleagues and students who learned and worked alongside her.
